SiMPTI: Standards in Music, Production, Technology & Industry
SiMPTI is a programme of work-based training, designed and delivered by Sound Gallery CIC in 2011 with an aim to provide access to a commercial recording studio and professional expertise.
This work experience programme provides a unique, 'behind the scenes' insight into a creative team at work and is ideal for those who seek to gain real life experiences in a professional recording studio, get hands-on experience in all the latest music technology software and hardware and get advice when choosing a career as a professional musician or technician.
Sound Gallery CIC is a community interest company founded in 2007 by social entrepreneur and musician M.C.Grice Peters (FRSA), which exists to nurture, support and develop musicians in Exeter and the surrounding areas. Sound Gallery CIC operates out of Sound Gallery Studios, a professional recording studio which is run by a dedicated and passionate team of experienced musicians, producers, engineers and educators. The studio has an excellent track record in artist development, music production, educational projects and music industry events, including the Analogue to Digital Music Expo.
As a social enterprise, Sound Gallery has established a bursary scheme with an aim to support exceptional individuals who lack creative opportunities and access to resources due to financial, geographical, personal or social barriers. Our aspiration is to create
